Fair price for coglayer.com

I was looking for a specific type of domain for a new project and found coglayer.com. I used the 'Make an Offer' option on GoDaddy and got a decent price. I compared it to some similar names on Namecheap and this felt like a solid value for what I needed. It was worth the back and forth.

Smooth purchase, clear steps

I bought coglayer.com a few weeks ago after using the 'Make an Offer' feature. The negotiation process was straightforward through GoDaddy's system. Once the offer was accepted, transferring the domain was easy enough, even for someone who doesn't do this every day. GoDaddy's support was helpful when I had a question about the transfer steps. The domain itself is exactly what I expected, a good brandable name. It felt secure, and everything was handled professionally. Good experience overall, made it easy to get started with my new site.

Good domain, simple process

Another domain from here, just like before. I needed another tech domain and saw coglayer.com. The 'Make an Offer' feature worked well. It's consistent, which I appreciate. Always a reliable place to check for good names.

Got the domain I wanted

Needed a domain for a side project. Saw coglayer.com, put in an offer. It went through after a bit. Payment was easy with my usual card on GoDaddy. Didn't have any issues. Pretty chill process to be honest.

Thinking of picking this up. Anyone had any luck with 'make an offer' on GoDaddy for these premium domains? Or is 'buy it now' the only way?

I tried making an offer on a different domain through GoDaddy once, didn't really go anywhere. Ended up just biting the bullet.

Yeah, 'make an offer' is definitely a thing. I know a guy who got a decent chunk knocked off a domain like this by negotiating. It's not always a fixed price, especially on bigger names.

Is there any way to split up the payment for this domain? Like, monthly installments or something? Or is it all upfront?

M Mike 2 months ago
Nah, I don't think GoDaddy does installments for these kinds of domain purchases. You'd probably have to pay it all at once.

They do offer 'lease to own' for some domains, which is kind of like installments. You'd have to check if that option is available for Coglayer specifically, but it's worth looking into if you don't wanna drop all the cash upfront.
